Who am I?
My name is Iben Albinus Sabroe. I am a Danish writer and film and literature critic. I am also the mother of two little boys and a critically acclaimed book from 2010 on Sex and the City’s cultural significance with regards to Danish women’s perception of self.
I hold a master’s degree in English Philology and Aesthetics and Culture from the University of Aarhus and have studied Journalism and Film Studies in Italy at L’Universitá degli Studi di Siena.
I am currently a critic and feature writer with the Danish equivalent to The Independent, the daily newspaper Information, www.information.dk, and for the widely read women’s weekly Alt for damerne, www.altfordamerne.dk,’Everything for the ladies’, that is. I review films on Danish radio station 24-7. Twice a year I also inhabit the position of editor-in-chief of Dansk Daily, an English language newspaper published during Copenhagen Fashion Week.
I have for many years been married to my work, but admit to having a long-running affair with a man, I hooked up with on Valentine’s Day 1997, and who happens to be the father of my kids.
